Good luck with getting it together and at least you have a back up bike. I have to sit at home, had my appendix out one week ago.

Racing sunday
If I had a back up bike I'd stop at 8pm to make sure I was rested! No point getting it together and being dog tired. Good luck either way!

Re: Racing sunday
I Did not make it, I some how misplaced the little spring that goes on shift mechanism. That's why I hated to leave my bike in pieced for the past 6 weeks. The pin also fell out of the shift drum. There are three holes in it, anyone know how to index the star piece that goes on the end. It a 250. I can't seem to find it in the manual.

Hit the hay and ride the back up. Points are points and you will adjust to the back up just fine. Finer then missing a race anyways!

Re: Racing sunday
No I some how miss placed the spring for the shift mechanism. I rode the yz290f it handed me my butt. What a difference in it and the kdx.I think I hit every thing in sight, I'm glad I wear plenty of protection. I'll have to post some videos of the embarrassing atemp at racing it. I am so use to the auto clutch and left hand rear brake on the kdx it severely handicapped me.put that with the fact that my hybrid is more rear steer every time I got on the gas early on the yz it would push the front end usually in to a tree.

Re: Racing sunday
Man, that is the story of my life every night before a race. I messed around all saturday knowing I had to change a clutch, both sprockets, put the forks and rear shock in, set sag, clean both air filters, change oil in both bikes, and all kinds of other fun stuff. Needless to say I loaded the bikes up around midnight and got to bed around two to be up at five....

Yea my wife says if it was not for the last minute I would not get anything done.shoe757 wrote:Man, that is the story of my life every night before a race. My bike never sits 6 weeks apart. A little cosmetic redo turned into a full on rebuild.

Re: Racing sunday
Good that you had a backup. I once missed a race on the KDX because I just could NOT get the front brake to bleed properly. SO DISAPPOINTED!!
I may be in the same situation this weekend, but I have a backup bike this time, so I am not stressing too bad. (RIGHT NOW)

Is the bike back together yet. That white swing arm is slick.
