just wondering how i can free up my rear shocks sag adjustment rings i guess you would call them.

use the adjustment tool or use a hammer and screwdriver

In the past when I have sprayed penetrating oil on the top lock ring and let it sit for a bit. The oil will work it's way down through the threads usually pretty quickly. I typically can break it free after 10-15 minutes. It may need a bit of persuading, but never had to use excessive force.

spray some lube on there
I have seen them with lots of dirt on the threads
