Did they make a 1978 KDX250 model? If so does anyone have any pictures?

No. 1980 was the first year KDX250A1. The 400, 250 and 175 all came out in 1980

There was a KLX250 in 1979 and 1980 (besides the mid 90's).

The first KDX was the 1979 KDX400-A1, followed by four KDX's in 1980. (including the KDX80)

They should be on the front tube of the frame (where the forks attach to the frame). If they're not there, I definitely would NOT buy it.
