Re: kips lubrication
Does the noise change when you pull in the clutch? If so, then probably just the normal noisey KIPS.

Re: kips lubrication
Pulling on the clutch doesn't make it go away. Changes the pitch a little.rev the bike up and it goes away.

Re: kips lubrication
It is noisey. Running a full quart of tranny fluid seems to quiet it down a little.

Re: kips lubrication
Correct. Premix lubes the upper parts located in the cylinder. The KIPS governor and drive gear, located inside the right side engine cover, are lubed by the transmission oil.dualscotty wrote:If the premix lubricates the kips .how does the bottem end oil lubricate the kips.premix lubricate top part of kips and bottem end oil lubricate lower end of kips....thanks .

Does that have friction modifiers in it?dualscotty wrote:I have 10w40 synthetic in the gear box.
I have been using ATF for years and like the price and how the clutch and transmission function.
