Oversize fuel tank options?

Post by sailorcolin »

SO i am wanting to get an oversize fuel tank for my 94. How ever the only one i can find is some IMS ones. Are there other options that aren't quite so expensive for the tank? Also "natural" colour, will that allow me to quickly gauge the amount of fuel in the tank?

Not a lot of options, IMS and Clarke were pretty much the only game in town for desert tanks, and neither is cheap. Yes the natural will let you see the fuel level.

Where exactly are you finding oversize tanks (especially in natural) for the E-series KDX? Reason I ask is that I couldn't find one two years ago when I wanted one for mine. I know IMS and Clarke make them for the 95+ KDX but do not currently offer one for '89-'94 bikes.

Anyways, the E-series already has a 3.4 gallon tank. That is considered by most to be a desert sized tank to begin with!

Maybe for an H series but not an E-series. He is looking for one to fit an E.
