Do you glue new seat foam to plastic?

I am replacing my seat foam and cover and when taking the old foam off it looks like it was glued in a couple spots, or could be just old. Do you guys glue the foam to the plastic? Thanks

I just used rubber cement to hold my on

I used some 3M spray adhesive to set mine. A light coat on the base and a light coat on the bottom of the foam, let it set up until it is tacky, and assemble.
