I picked this up for $650 just like you see it. The jetting was so far off It wouldn't hardly run when I got it but I was able to swap out the carb with another one I had. I got it to run half way ok like that but a little lean so I haven't ran it much that way. I decided that the old carb wasn't worth messing with so I found A 39mm Keihin PWK to replace it with and I'll buy jets for that one instead when it gets here.
I had been thinking about getting my KDX street tiled once I get it done but I think Id rather keep it where it does best and convert this one instead. For now I'll keep it the way it is and just upgrade a few things here and there but I think this thing would be fun converted over to sumo.
Thanks guys, you can't tell from the pictures but it does need a little work.
I'm already A member over there, lots of good info but not many people frequent the site. Keith over at ADB has already been a huge help, I've exchanged several emails with him and has always had an answer.
It should be a lot like a kdx, short wheelbase, lots or torque, very reliable, and almost maintence free. canamfan do you have a 400 with the same engine, or a 370?
I have an 83 ASE 250, 74 125 tnt a couple of mx5 250's that need restored and a 80 175 qualifier that needs a little to get going again. Also a mx3 250 and mx2 175 that need restored plus lots of parts but no 370 or 400 engines. i always wanted to ride a 406 Atk i've heard they have great power.
