Project Bike

Post by awesome.sharaf »

Hey yall first off I would like to say that I am new to this forum and so far I love it :tonqe: It has so much useful information that I would search the internet for days to find. I recently bought a 1995 kdx 200 (she is a beauty) set up for enduro races by a man who runs enduro races himself so it was a good deal in my opinion :boogie: Okay now my question is that I want to find a bike that I can gradually work on and fix up. I would like it not to be too expensive to rebuild. I would love to hear your opinions on what I should get and if anyone sees one up for sale tell me. I live in Maryland so it has to be relativity close lol

Welcome to the forums.

Have you considered an older model KDX to rebuild? You can just stay in one place to get help for both bikes. :hmm:
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

I you are talking cheap, you are talking 2 stroke.

I have always been partial to blue, but more green bikes keep slipping into the garage. However, there was a lot of difference in the way kx 250s ran depending on what year.

My preference would be to look at the YZ 250s as the recent models run pretty much the same and they are still current. The Kayaba SSS suspension on the late model YZs is supposed to be great. The KTM 300s are supposed to be pretty good, too, like a KDX on steroids.
This is my rifle, this is my gun, the YZ to go fast, the KDX is for fun!
