Yea, that blue hoop looks nice man. It's good to hear that the kx500 panels fit the dx's. I always wanted white to match my rear fender but could only find green for the KDX. Good tip man!

I too am in the process of building my 90 model. Good luck with yours, I'll post some pics of mine when it's done.

Sent my head off to RB today. I also opted for one of his brand new carbs with mods since the slide on mine was really worn. I also ordered a bunch a small detail stuff that should be here soon.

Went to lace up my rear rim Sunday only to find out that RMATV sold me the wrong spokes. Their system was wrong. They were Warp 9 spokes so I called Kevin at Warp 9 to check the part number. He said that they don't even have a spoke to fit the E series KDX200 hub. He said to call http://www.buchananspokes.net/. Called them and they have all sorts of spoke option for ANY year KDX. I ordered a heavy duty set all in SS for $110 shipped. BTW, I ordered those spokes over a year ago from RMATV yet they still are going to give me a refund on them and they are going to send me a prepaid shipping label to ship them back. Gotta love RMATV!

On a side note, I got a shipping notice that my head and carb from RB should arrive today! Things are looking up again! :supz:

The crank is the factory Kawasaki that I had rebuilt with a Hot Rods' rod kit and new factory Kawasaki bearings.

I picked up the Hot Rods rod kit on Ebay for $85 shipped and had Andrew (http://www.cookseycrank.com/#!) Rebuild and press on the new crank bearings for $80 shipped.

That's reassuring. Thanks for letting me know!

BTW, I got a package today from fellow KDXrider member KDX200-E2 with my new shrouds and the awesome repro decals he had made. Jeff, my man, I can't thank you enough! :prayer:

Also, I have some repro "Uni-Trak" and "Kawasaki" decals coming from Australia! The graphics are the finishing touches that will make my bike complete.[/quote]

any idea where i can get some white plastics like this?

Finding white plastics for the KDX is rather difficult. I lucked into the ones I have. Ebay is about the only place to look. Sorry, I wish I could be of more help.

A bit of an update. Both wheels are now assembled with new bearings, trued, and prepped for the Tubliss system. I have brand new Maxxis tires to mount on them, SI up front and an IT in the rear. Also got the bearings out of the cases with a little oven heat and a homemade tool. Should have the bottom end ready to go back together here real soon! :supz:

BTW, here is a pic of the rear wheel ready to go!

Sexy! That 94 kx I picked up has a talon hub on the back. I test fitted it to the KDX and the axle size is right, would just need spacers made. Makes me want to lace up a new rear rim!

Talon hubs are works of art! I would do it but that's just me! :busted:

OK, here is the completed front wheel. Stock '96 KX125 hub, Pivot Works bearings, new OEM dust seals, Warp 9 rim and SS spokes, Tubliss, Tusk brake rotor, and Maxxis SI 80/100-21 tire! It looks freakin sweat IMO!

Hell yeah! Getting closer! :supz:
