I've used WD40 for years. After spraying the chain (spinning the wheel while the bike is on a milk crate), I take an old rag and spin the wheel while rubbing the chain with the rag. Watch the ol finger tips!!
I use K..... no wait a minute. Different "her"....
I've tried that dry wax stuff and didn't particularly like it. Just about any chain lube you can find at the local dealership should work OK. I can't find any of what I've been running (I guess my son has taken it all with him) and I don't remember what brand it was. It may have been Klotz as I use a lot of Klotz products. Almost anything is better than nothing though. Spit on.... never mind. Different application again.
I am running DID X-Ring chains on everything except our TT-R230 (haven't had to replace it yet). I use the same lube on all of them. I'll find out what it is and reply again.
The Dupont stuff works a lot better than say that maxima chain wax crap
It does not build up like the maxima does. The maxima wax is a pita to remove and seems to gum up the links
In my experience, wd40 gets past the o-rings and flushes the grease out
