heavy springs
I have Eibach series 996 springs in my SR forks - this link shows which bikes the 996 series fits.

You just need to work out the spring rate for your weight and also you have to cut down the fork preload spacer as these springs are longer than the OEM springs.
Cheers.

Re: heavy springs
The stock oil is 5wt, but most fork builders would recommend 7wt oil in the KDX forks.capnbluetootharr wrote:Thank you Dodger .what weight oil are you running ?

10w - I also have Race Tech Cartridge Emulators in the forks. I think the Emulators made a difference but as I fitted them 14 years ago, I've forgotten what the original damping felt like!capnbluetootharr wrote:Thank you Dodger .what weight oil are you running ?

I think the stock oil on the conventional forks is 10 weight, with 5 weight on the cartridge forks.6 Riders wrote:The stock oil is 5wt, but most fork builders would recommend 7wt oil in the KDX forks.capnbluetootharr wrote:Thank you Dodger .what weight oil are you running ?
