sluggo641 Jetting Guide
I have a '99 and an '01 200. the '01 has fmf woods pipe and fmf turbine core spark arrestor, 607 boyesens, no airbox lid. the '99 is exactly the same except has a fmf rev pipe and fmf silencer. both have good tight engines. have my '99 jetted at 40 pilot,152 main and R1173L needle clip in middle and it runs good with no bog. my '01 is needing at least a 45 pilot, R1173 L needle clip in middle and 152 main and still has a small bog. my question is why are they so far apart on the pilot jets? I wouldn't think the difference in pipes would cause this? both air filters are clean, stock carbs and crank seals are good, not loosing any trans oil in them either. what gives? TIA!

Maybe you're too rich and that's the bog you're experiencing? Jet block gasket ok?

havent checked it yet, i see guys on here running 40 pilots but have to run a 48 in '99 bike with rev pipe. they both run well but can't figure why pilots are so far apart? curious if rev vs torque pipe would make the difference?

There shouldn't be that much of a difference. Maybe one step but that's it. I would be leaning towards some mechanical issue for the difference. Air leak, jet block, etc.
