KDX airbox needs a major cleaning and probably the boot also. Any easy removal tricks or steps so I can scrub the hell out of it?

Going by memory here but... Remove seat and left side panel, remove frame sidebar, loosen carb clamp, and remove all mounting screws, and pull out downward and to the left. Only way I know of.

Yeah it's not hard. Take off that frame brace, rear fender can just be loosened, and remove. You can leave the mudflap attached.
