Post by Killerkyle »

Bought someone’s build great bike jus tryna figure out what all is different. Only question I have is on the left side of the cylinder it has numbers 1742 which Ik is normal but more to the front a few inches it also has 307 L on it. Tried to search an figure out what it meant can’t find nothing useful online except this website.

Welcome.

It may be a marking from a cylinder plater. They use codes to keep track of work.

The 1742 is the Kawi part number for the cylinder casting. On the right side of the intake manifold will be the displacement (0.197l IIRC for the 200). There are no other factory markings, is the 307L etched in or does it appear cast? As KDXG mentioned, likely a shop marking to track a customer job.

0.198l (KDX200)
0.216l (KDX220R)

otherwise, the last four digits of the cylinder's part number
