After Market gear Shift

Hi All My sons KDx200 year 2005 gear shift kept slipping took it off and see all the internal gear grooves on the shift are damaged and stripped plus it had previously been welded up. Any recommendation for aftermarket gear shifters thanks are place to get them from we are in New zealand. :supz:

Wonder if a shifter off another Kawi would work? I’ve got the hammerhead shifter on a 450x and it’s been crash tested a few times, I’m a believer as the Monkeys would sing

First things first, is the shift shaft okay?? I like the hammerhead too.

The shifter pictured above is the same one Scotts sells just rebranded. I've got 7+ years of abuse on mine and holding up great.

Yes shaft ok with good groves its the OEM alloy gear lever that has damaged groves. thanks for the info

Probably a steel alloy. Everything’s an alloy to save a buck.

Some on eBay have real butter in the alloy. Some use Parkay.
