Never been, gonna be staying about an hr away for Thanksgiving this year. If anybody wants to ride on any one of those days let me know… Decent rider, won’t slow anyone down, early 40’s, 03 KDX200. Or another place nearby that is challenging, not familiar with trails out that way.

I'd love to ride Brushy Mountain Motorsports Park, but can't get away that weekend.... The singletracks or as they label it "Enduro Sections" are as tough as they come!
If you do go, please post up a ride report and snap some enticing photos!

If you hit up the Dirt Bike Life FB group or Appalachian Singletrack Riders, you may likely be able to find a group on Austrian 300's to tag along with.

Brown Mountain OHV in Pisgah National Forest NC is nearby there (1hr away) & is an AMAZING trail system.
Doe Mountain Recreation Area Tennessee also isn't far, and has more singletracks nowadays, which are definitely on my bucket list to ride.
Those are the big 3 in that region for bikes at least.

Brown Mountain is probably the best of all the National Forest trail systems in the Eastern USA in my opinion. I can't wait to return back there. They close around Dec 1st for the season I believe, due to high elevation snow coming in typically.

Bring your KDX and watch as the KTM owners drool with envy.

Brown Mountain OHV trail map.
There's about 40 miles of official trails now, but a lot of the rocky areas have two or three alternate lines around the mapped trail, and there is an immense amount of single track that's not official as well.

I was wrong, it actually closes for the season January 1st!
Besides being an incredible trail system with some nice primitive campsites along the road in, and around the corner a couple miles as well there are tons of roadside dispersed sites although without occasional fit toilets like the trailhead road has, one of the other amazing bits is that it only costs $5 a day to ride there.
