I ride a 98 Kdx200. Just curious as to what 2 cycle oil most of you us. Just casual trail riding.

If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Lucas semi-synthetic at 40:1.
I prefer Castor 927 but is hard to find locally so I switched to the Lucas as I can find it at most auto parts stores. I've been very pleased with it after inspecting two top ends after running it exclusively.

Re: 2 cycle oil
Klotz Techniplate synthetic for aggressive riding on fast trails, very aggressive hard enduro, and racing. Maxima Super M might get the nod over Techniplate though, I'll see how it goes this summer.
For casual trail riding, BelRay Si7 or Motul 710 are two of the absolute best low flash point synthetics, and they smell better than Amsoil!
Klotz Techniplate smells the best, well... besides Klotz Super Techniplate that is (20% BeNōl caster bean oil / 80% Techniplate synthetic).
Don't run 100% pure castor for casual riding unless it's a vintage bike with no power valves. BeNōl sure smells awesome though! Protects incredibly well on a hot hard worked engine, but doesn't byrn off cleanly unless engine is hottt and you work it really hard.

Re: 2 cycle oil
Also using Lucas semi-synthetic at 40:1, I always contemplate switching to one with a good smell...
But I get a gallon of Lucas for $36 through work so I'll probably stick with that.

Re: 2 cycle oil
Thanks to you all for the responses. I've been using BelRay HR1 at 40:1 but didn't realize what a high flash point it has. Getting tons of spooge. Been considering switching to something else and wanted to get some opinions. You guys have given me a lot to consider and I appreciate it.

Re: 2 cycle oil
BelRay Si7 is the best in my opinion, low flash point 185 or 195, full synthetic, nicely colored so it's obvious if your fuel is mixed or if it's 100% pure gas (/ethanol).
Motul 710 is next best, and available in 2 liter or so larger quantities.
The Amsoil Dominator or Interceptor, one or the other, is a low flash point full synthetic good trail riding oul. Amsoil doesn't smell as nice though!

Re: 2 cycle oil
Maxima Super M for more aggressive riding, 280° F flash point.
I still run Klotz Techniplate a lot depending on the trail terrain and style or if racing or riding aggressively. Very high flash point race oil, full synthetic. Smells great protects great runs great. No sticking gummed up power valves yet... And I often mix in a touch of BeNōl castor to blend my own Super Techniplate, for the heavenly castor oil smell...

Re: 2 cycle oil
Yamalube 2S @ 40:1. Very low flashpoint, I order it from RMATVMC by the gallon. My bike likes it and runs like scalded cat! I mix it with non-E Rec pump gas - 90 octane. This combo works well for me with minimal smoke and spooge.
