quick question for all you seasoned forum(ers)
i have a kdx that sucks a ton of gas
was riding at a terrain park for about 1.5 hours and ran out of fuel. im not a ripper at all - old guy cruising through the terrain park
my estimate is that I had at least a gallon in the tank.
any solutions to test for my consumption?
what should i clean or repair to alleviate this situation

Re: New(er) KDX owner - fuel question
Keep in mind that 2Ts consume a lot more fuel than a 4T. If you only had a gallon in the tank when you started then you m ay have no problem at all. Best way to check consumption is to have a laid out route of a known length...say 15-20 miles. Then Fill the tank up and use a ruler to measure to the top of the fuel from the top of the fuel cap. Go ride your route, then refill the tank and measure how much it takes to get it back to the starting level. For most 15 miles is going to be somewhere between 3/4 to 1 gallons roughly.
