I have a jap 93 KDX250. I have just brought some new bearings for front and rear. I was sent 2 seals for the front but the front only needs one. Problem is tbe collar on my 91 has a 20mm collar and my 93 has a 22mm collar. The seal dosent fit my 93 as the seals ID Is 20mm Not 22mm. I wondering if it may be the wrong collar for my 93. I want to put it back to factory oem. Anyone know what ot should be?

Are you sure you have the stock wheel?

Im pretty sure has same stamp marks as my 91 kdx250 excecpt year number. It stamped DID JAPAN 86--08 09---
J 21X1.60 5 93 DOT( Im guessing this is month and year) 5th month 1993. Still got me baffled.

There are 3 parts to a wheel.....Rim (what you are referring to for the markings) hub and spokes. Each of these are a different pn. It is very likely that every Kx/kdx with a did rim has the same markings as what you posted. The hubs may be different, as the could have been updated yearly.
For example, I can use any 89-06kdx rear wheel on any of the 89-06 kdxs, but there are some differences, like the brake rotors bolt size.

5 93 is indeed the month and year

Is there a code on the hub?

It is hard to keep guessing without pictures, but I would assume someone changed something. It's not like you are the original owner of both bikes and know the complete work history of both.

F-1 240 is the only makings on the hub except, made in Japan. My 91 KDX250 rims are stamped 4 91 front and rear rims. So maybe a change in seals for that year or its not origional. I ended up getting 2 seals, 35mm x 22mm and a 35mm x 20mm which will cover me till I sort it out. Thanks for the replies

Some of the hubs on KX have the last four digits of the part number.
