Has anyone looked at a 310cc big bore kit for the kx250

Post by Ffryno13 »

I'm almost done with my kdx200 hybrid and I was thinking of my next possible project. I saw a 310 kit from kustom kraft for the 87-20xx kx250. I know the kdx250 shares most of its design with the kx 250. Is there any reason their big bore kit wouldn't work with the close cousin kdx250?

Hmm, I don't know. I contacted Eric Gorr about one of his big bore kits for my KDX250 and he said he couldn't do it. I really don't understand why he couldn't considering the '91-'94 KDX250 is based on the '89 KX250 IIRC. :hmm: Well, contact them and find out. I would be real interested in what they say.

I wrote them an email asking if they can do anything with the kdx250 big bore. I'll post the response when they get back to me.

I know you can buy almost any size or even custom piston sizes from wossner wiesco or any other piston companys. So m not sure what your looking for.

Did you ever do this? :pop: It sounds awesome, the 250 is so heavy that this would wake it up and make up the difference that the weight drags it down.

I'm in the planning process right now. I want to build a 250 hybrid now that I'm done with my 200 hybrid. I'm thinking an alloy frame this time with a big bore kdx250
