1994 kaw kdx 250
Thanks. new to this site . Having trouble finding info on complete engine rebuild kit for my 1994 KDX 250. Does any aftermarket company offer complete kit or will I have to piece one together? Original problem...lower main bearing on connecting rod bad.

For that lower bearing you will need a connecting rod kit, and have the crank rebuilt with the new rod. I do not know of any complete rebuild kit in a box.

Re: 1994 kaw kdx 250
The KDX250 motor is based off the 1990-1991 KX250 motor. So parts for the 1990-1991 KX250 motor should fit the KDX250. The 90-91 KX250/91-94 KDX 250 motor has a 70mm stroke vs the 92' and newer KX250 motors 72mm stroke. The 90-91 KX250/91-94 KDX 250 motor has a 1mm larger stock bore than the 92' and newer KX250. This is why you can't pick up a newer KX250 rebuild kit and put it in the KDX250.
Parts for the KDX250 are becoming harder to find. The following two companies sell engine parts for the KDX250

Hot Rods: (Connecting Rod Kits) http://www.hotrodsproducts.com/ProductI ... tem_id=869
Do you have a local motorcycle dealer or independent motorcycle shop that can rebuild your crankshaft for you? I did this recently with my KDX250 crankshaft. They installed a new Pro-X connecting rod, balanced and welded the crankshaft for roughly $200. I am piecing the rest of my bottom end and top end parts together because so far I haven't found a kit to buy all the pieces together.
Your ebay link for the connecting rod looks like a good one even if it isn't a name brand.
