LOW RPM BOGG

my bike boggs down bad at take off,,no low end power once I get the rev up its great .// ?? almost dies if I don't give it enough throttle at take off ???? help !!!!
revs up just fine in neutral just not when pulling weight ??

Which bike? What year? New development or always been that way? Mods/work done? Last time you changed plug, cleaned air filter, what's it currently jetted at? Need more info

OK,,,just got it this is a kx80,,1993 I know this is a kdx forum, I have one too this is my kids bike,,,dont know much about it ,,,was locked up when I got it put a used motor in it ,,new plug and airfilter

yes ,,even tried a new carb same thing

Air leak around the carb perhaps, check the seal around the airbox boot and reed block boot.

Also double check the idle jet isn't blocked, and set the air screw to 1.5 turns out.
Get your idle set right next and hope it works :grin:

Could also be a timing issue, try moving the pick up around to advance/retard the timing and see if there is any improvement.

Take reeds out and look for damage, also flip them if they are worn.
Is possibly still a timing issue.
What ratio premix are you running??

using 80 to 1 amsoil,,gonna install new reeds tomorrow,,,thanks

80:1 ratio?! I run all my 2 strokes at 40:1. Try the new reeds and fuel ratio change
