1986 KDX200 c-1 Mikuni VM34SS

Post by Blackflame444 »

After searching post and seeing this question asked once before I am still wondering if anyone tried VM34 universal carb on an 86 or 87? If so I would like to know the following...

1. Was fitment to engine manifold boot doable since it appears to be 5mm smaller?

2. Could choke still be operated?

3. Does anyone know a Mikuni part # for a knob choke or a remote choke assembly that would work to replace the lefty lever since plunger is actually on right side?

I don't want to change to Kehin I just want a second swappable Mikuni carb for different elevation riding.

I AM IGNORANT!! With that said...

In the Mikuni catalog it mentions "Exploded view
of Lever Type
Starter System.
2 Other Starter
Types, Cable and
Knob are also
available"

On VM34-275 with a right side idle screw, can one not just buy a knob and put it on to work with 1986 and 1987??

I DO NOT KNOW> :-) JUST spitballing.
