Using a later front pipe

Post by Hail seizure »

Hi does anyone know if a later series KDX front pipe fits the 1988 model?
I don't mind doing a little bit of fabricating to make one fit.
Thanks Mike.

It won't even be close. You'll be chopping it in a whole lot of places. The air-cooled KDX has a side-port exhaust; water cooled models enter out the center of the cylinder. That's even before we get to all the myriad of differences in the frame (especially the perimeter models).

DG still offers a pipe for your bike.

Cheers mate, I did email DG, but they never replied! It's a shame because I really like their KDX system.
