Donor engine for twin cylinder kdx250 project

Just for fun.

l have a '84 kdx250 frame that has no motor. l was thinking about slotting a twin cylinder engine into it (a triple would be too wide and l wouldn't have room for 3 up pipes).

The frame looks long enough but has a twin downtube frame to contend with for the exhaust outlets and l think there would be enough room for 2 125cc chambers under the tank.

What would my motor options be ? Naturally it would need to be a Kawasaki engine.

Kawasaki A1 or Ninja 250 come tom mind as not too difficult or obscure.
