Haha, yall are funny! Yes, that chain was way to tight. It was removed the day after it got to my house. No telling how long my dad rode it like that, before letting it sit for 10-12 years.

I'm glad you're taking care of it. I cringe every time when I see that. So many engines over the years have been destroyed due to chains that are too tight. Way better to be too loose than too tight.

Too tight chains put wear on the output shaft.

Check the splines that are where the front sprocket attaches.

Before you say "looks OK to me", try to get on the old interwebs and see what a new one looks like.

That's a great idea! Thank you! Any suggestions on the best bearing grease? I just got the linkage in the mail, now I'm ordering a bearing kit. I might as well grab some grease while I'm at it.

That really pisses me off. Especially for what a lot of these guys charge nowadays. They can't even pressure wash the bike when they start to strip it down?

Haha, I must say though, for $35, fast shipping and part that looks like it's in pretty good shape I can't complain to much. I'm hoping Rocky Mountain ATV comes through with the swingarm sometime soon.

Well, unfortunately Rocky Mountain ATV fell through. After two weeks of waiting in anticipation, for the swingarm, I received an email that stated that the item was discontinued. The ebay swingarm should arrive tomorrow. I hope it's in good condition. It'll save me about $460 but brand new is brand new...
