Anyone more inclined than me knows if a 1986 OEM piston (#13001-1219) can be used in a E-Series jug?
I see Wiseco lists the same KDX piston kit for models '86 to 2006.
It's a B piston for a cast iron sleeved jug(barrel).
Can '86 model OEM piston be used in a E-Series jug?

Welcome to kdxrider.net. Thank you for joining us.
On that piston, I would look at the piston ring pin locations to see if they do not pass through an open port. For example, the Wiseco 1986 - 2006 KDX200 piston ring pins DO pass through an open port on the 1983 - 1985 KDX200's.

I’m really not sure. Check the ring pins like KDXGarage said. I think aftermarket are made with slight nuances to work with many years.

Thanks for the replies and for the welcoming. Long time lurker here first time poster.
The ring pin locations are identical to the E-Series piston (5 and 7 o clock, exhaust arrow being 12 o clock). Only physical difference I see is the lightening cutouts on the skirt.
