I last weighed my '03 KX220WR with a Detecto balance beam scale that I believe to be accurate. The bike weighed 221.5 lbs without gas but enduro ready (4mm rear tube, 3mm front tube, gnarly pipe, aluminum pipe guard, Scott's steering damper, skid plate, SSS forks, etc).

Thanks for posting up! That is almost exactly 20 lbs lighter than my '98 220.

It's all about getting an accurate measurement. Detecto balance beam scales are known to be very accurate - I verified the weight by weighing three 5 gallon plastic containers of water (plus the weight of the container itself) and the scales weight was exactly the same as the calculated weight of the water + containers. I then placed the scale on a motorcycle jack and raised the bike off the floor and took the weight. After removing the bike I then stepped on the scales (while on the jack) and took my on weight - 168 lbs with the jack on the scale and the same with the jack on the concrete floor. So I am pretty confident that my bike weight really is 221.5 without gas.

I would like to see real world numbers on different bikes (ready to ride with a full tank of gas) Im also curious about other things like how much a stock pipe/silencer weigh vs a FMF pipe/silencer. I have always read the dry weight of the H series KDX was 222 lbs.

Sorry for the late reply. Final weight gassed up and ready, 220lbs. This is according to the pallet scale of my previous employer.

Guys I specifically remember the 1996 KDX200 specs on the back of the brochure reading 238lbs for it's dry weight. I still have the brochure somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up. The Motocross Vault guy has the brochure on his sight but not the back page.
