Headed to Walker ORV with good intentions to fiddle with my new carb and practice some wheelie skills.
Instead I get may ass hauled around by two Super-seniors willing to let me play tail-end Charlie non stop for 2-1/2 hrs.
Happy the carb comes close out of the box, cause I really had to hump it just to catch them at the trail x-ings.
Great bike, great carb, great ride.
Please keep your voice low as we have found wild KDX in its natural environment.

Re: RB Test and Tune (almost)
It felt like I had gone from 200 to 250. Had to re-learn how to throttle just to keep from breaking it loose with every blip.

Haha! Gotta' watch out for those seniors. Some of them can move a bike!
Good to hear your initial impressions of the carb. Can't wait to get mine back together and give her a brap!

Re: RB Test and Tune (almost)
Truer words were never spoken.
At every break point my pals were comparing notes on which races were best and who they beat and lost to.....What spot was worst or best at the different enduros or scrambles......and who are the guys that drop down a class to get a trophy.
It was great.
One of the guys said he got kicked up to the A class and went from winning races to getting passed like he was tied to a tree.
Best example was a creek with a shitty log bridge made of about 4 small tress lashed together but slanted to one side.
You had to cross in the bottom of a V, that required a lightish front end going down hill.
It was one of those where I knew it was past my skills, but you can’t turn around.
A class picks a ballsy line and gets over it in 2 bunny hops and a wheelie.
C class picks another line and gets through with a timely lift and some power.
Goat class picks the least challenging line going down, but the worst angle to the uphill bank and proceeds to hit the bank with the front tire, loose momentum and slide the back wheel into the crick!
God was I tired hoisting that thing out of there.... even with help.
I gots lots to learn ! But they both seemed happy to let me hang-around and pass some tips.

Re: RB Test and Tune (almost)
I hope you like the carb.
My bike had a nice AS that had never Re-jetted, so the change is night & day difference.
Will be very curious how yours compares to a well tuned race bike.

Dear KDG,
Please note that my exhaustive in-depth research (consisting of 1 photo) indicates KTM 300s also come fashionably outfitted with the obligatory dented woods pipe.
But I’m pretty suspicious they may have to pay extra for it.
